Have you ever seen a molinillo? This incredibly textured wooden whisk is shaped to effortlessly mix and froth your Mexican hot chocolate in a saucepan or roomy mug. With a simple rolling motion between your palms, you'll create perfectly churned, mixed, and foamy chocolate. This incredible tool is also ideal for muddling fruits and herbs!
Each molinillo is made by hand – turned and carved out of a single piece of alder wood, then decorated with dark accents burned into the wood. These artisans have a deep history with woodworking, some spending nearly 50 years making molinillos. It’s a craft that's shared and passed on to keep these rich, intricate pieces alive.
